Why are Mondays always so crazy. Today just seemed to be one of those days. Good thing I had a relaxing weekend. Friday night we went out for supper with my mom and "grandma" (not blood related". Saturday we went shopping for our nephews birthday and finally after a year and a half of living at our new place, we finally sorted out the boxes in the basement. The corner of the basement looks so empty now. Sunday we spent the day just relaxing at home. As I didn't do any stamping this weekend, I didn't know what I was going to show you but I found this card on my computer and can't believe I never shared this before. This card I made for one of my good friends from college who just had twins, a girl and a boy. I had seen a bunch of these onesie shaped cards on SCS, and thought it would be really fun to make one. I made this card double sided, one side is for the girl and the other for the boy.

A Beautiful Thing # 5
This is my favourite card out of all the cards we did at my 'A Beautiful Thing' class. Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue are one of my favourite colour combos. At the class not only did we make five cards but also a little box to hold the cards if you wanted to give away these cards as a set. I made the box to match this card because I just loved this card so much. The template for the box came from Dawn Griffith.

A Beautiful Thing # 4
Another card we did at my 'A Beautiful Thing'. This card was inspired by Laura Fredrickson. I just love the simplicity of this card. You can't tell from the picture but the two right hand corners of the Rose Red cardstock are pierced using the mat pack. I think it just finishes off the card nicely.

Happy Birthday Megan!
Today I would like to send birthday wishes out to a member of my stamp group and a regular follower of my blog. Happy Birthday Megan! I hope you have an awesome day.
This is the card that I made for her. I just love this polka dot paper from the Urban Oasis Designer Paper, this has to be at least the second birthday card I have used this paper for. I just love it. I watercoloured the cupcake with a aqua painter and watercolour paper. You can't tell in the picture but I also added Dazzling Diamonds to the cupcake. I used the Basic Gray marker to add the lines around the image. I love how something so simple can add so much to a card. To those who know me of course I used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the cupcake off the card. I love Stampin' Dimensionals, every time I order I get at least one pack. You can never have too many! Anyways, on to the card.
Again have a great day Megan!

A Beautiful Thing # 3
This is the third card we made at my 'A Beautiful Thing' this past weekend. This card was cased from Elaine Scader, to see her card click here. I changed the colours. Right now one of my favourite colours is Baja Breeze and I just the way this card turned out. It is so easy to create backgrounds with Stampin' Up!'s wheels.

A Beautiful Thing # 2
This the second card we made at my 'A Beautiful Thing' class on the weekend. This is one of my favourite cards out of them all. I just love how well the Pink Pirouette goes with the Riding Hood Red. Who would have ever thought you could put these two colours together. I think the only reason this card works is because of the Kiwi Kiss. Because we ran out of time in the class we skipped the stamping of the little circles above and below the main image, but the cards turned out great without it.

Beautiful Thing Class
Yesterday afternoon I had a class using based around the stamp set 'A Beautiful Thing'. This week I will be sharing the cards we made at this class. The first card shown here really seemed to create a challenge for us. Trying to get the little flowers right inside the bigger flowers on the bottom of the card, even with the Stamp-a-ma-jig it was difficult.

Another Christmas Card
Here is another Christmas card I made last year. I love this card and I made a whole bunch of them in different colour schemes, but I can't find any pictures of the other cards. Maybe I will just have to make this card again sometime. I love this little snowman, he seemed to be my go to stamp for Christmas last year I used him on almost every card. Now that he is a retired stamp I guess I will need to find another stamp for this coming Christmas. But as I said earlier this week, it is way too early to start thinking about Christmas cards.

2nd Birdie Card
I posted a card very similar to this a couple days ago and thought I would show you this card that has just a slight change on the birdies. I had made this card previously with the paper piecing technique and while I was preparing for my masking class this one was sitting on my desk and I thought it would be perfect to change up and use it to teach the masking technique. I used Washington Apple DS paper for the paper piecing on the birds.

Christmas???
I have been cleaning out some of my computer files and found some pictures of Christmas cards I did this year but never shared on my blog. So even though Christmas was months ago and trust me I am in no rush for it to come around again but I thought I would share them with you anyways. I will be sharing these cards over the next few days.
This card was inspired by Emily Weems her card can be seen here. I did the acetate card first and then did another in real red. I really like them both.

Masking Class
A couple of weeks ago I held a masking class. All three cards featured some sort of masking technique. I love masking, it gives you so many more options with the stamps. The first card we did was a simple masking technique using a circle punch and a sponge to create the masked circle. This was such a simple card, but I love the look of it. I got the idea for this card from Dawn Griffith.
The second card we did was learning how to mask using stamp sets so that they look like they are overlapped or behind each other. Of course I had to use the little birdie stamp set (currently in a tie for my favourite stamp set.) This card was inspired by Jamie Sears, you can see her card here.
This last card is my favourite. This masking technique is great for the set Fifth Avenue Floral. It should be no surprise that I used this set. I am sure you can guess that this set is the set that is in a tie with A Little Birdie for my favourite stamp set. What is there not to love about this card. It uses Fifith Avenue Floral, the Scallop Edge Punch, Chocolate Chip Ribbon and Dazzling Diamonds. Four great products.
Supplies Used:
(All Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: 1 3/4 Circle Punch, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Sponge

Happy Birthday Beck!
I saw a spring card like this on Dawn Griffith`s blog and really liked it. I had just got this cupcake set the week before, so I had to make the card. My first step was deciding what designer paper I wanted to use and I choose the rest of the colours from there. A couple days after I made this, my husband was going through my collection of birthday cards and decided this was the one that he wanted to give his sister. April 2nd was my sister-in-law Beck's birthday and to celebrate the family got together at my in-laws for supper. So this is the card she got. This was my only copy so I told him I had to make sure I got a picture before we gave it to her so that I can make another one.

Another 5th Avenue Floral Card
Have I mentioned that I love this set? I really like how you can create your own designer paper with any of the flowers and it looks great. I just stamped the large flower randomly on the Sahara Sand cardstock with Sahara Sand ink. I also used two of the new 5/16 Neutral Brads. I am really loving these, I just need to remember to actually use them instead of collecting them, like I tend to do when it comes to new product. I think this card has to be one of my favourites that I have made in a while. Hope you like it too.

March Thank You Cards
These were the thank you cards I made for anyone who placed an order with me in March. I just love the set Fifth Avenue Floral. As soon as I saw it in the current catalogue, I had to get it right away. I love putting Chocolate Chip and any pink together, so when I saw this card on SCS by tessa, I just had to case it. However I needed to do a thank you card for a guy as well this month, and I really couldn't send him the pink card I had to come up with another colour combo. I started with the ribbon colour first which is Certainly Celery and then picked the Always Artichoke from there. I love the way these cards turned out.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Always Artichoke, Whisper White
Accessories: Corner Rounder, Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain Ribbon, Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain Ribbon

A Little Birdie Told Me Class
A few weeks ago I held a class based on the stamp set 'A Little Birdie Told Me'. I just love this set, it is so versitile for so many occasions. I had eight people in attendance, it was my largest group to date for a class and a little challenging but I had lots of fun and enjoyed meeting a bunch of new people.
The following card was cased from Julie Davison, I just changed up the colours.
The next card was cased from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue.
This card was cased from tkife at splitcoaststampers.com
This is my favourite card. I cased it from Jennifer Jackson, once again I just changed up the colors.
