Simple Thank You

This was the thank you card I used for orders placed in the month of Feb. I love this Jumbo Snowflake punch and want to use it as much as possible while I still can. I figure we still have snow outside so there is nothing wrong with giving my customers cards with snowflakes on it. This card is actually a bit smaller than an average card side, all I did was place the main focal point where I wanted and then trimmed down the card so I had the order I wanted. This card was cased from Juls716 over at SCS. I was going to change the Bermuda Bay colour to something else, but I couldn't find another colour I liked as much as I liked the way the Bermuda Bay stood out. Lately I have been really attracted to the simple white cards, sometimes it is the simplest cards that really stand out.

Supplies Used:
(All Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Sets: Thank You Kindly
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White

Birthday Cupcakes

The Crazy for Cupcakes set has become my go to set for birthday cards. I really wasn't a fan when the set first came out and I only got it because I needed a birthday set and it was on sale! But now I tend to reach for it first even though I do have other sets I could use for birthday cards. This is a card I made before Christmas for a friends birthday. This card was cased from Daotz over at SCS. I basically just changed up the happy birthday parts to stamps I had.

Shimmer Snowflakes

I only just realized this weekend that Stampin' Up! has carried over a bunch of items from the holiday mini catalogue. We have been told that these items will also be in the new catalogue coming in July. I don't know why I only just noticed this on the demo website, it has been posted for over a month now. Where has my head been? I am so excited about this list. (See post below for complete list). One of the items being carried over is the Shimmer Mist. This just adds so much to a project. The card below is one I created at Christmas using the Shimmer Mist. The background is created using the Faux Suede technique and then stamping the snowflake with the Shimmer Mist. The punch snowflake is also covered with the Shimmer Mist. You can't tell from the picture but it just shimmers in real life. I love this card, it was very simple to make and I was able to do lots at once.

Treats for Co-workers

I previously showed you the treat cards that I made for our nephews at Christmas. I also made similar treat cards for all my co-workers at work. I made 14 in total. I wanted something simple and that would not break my heart when I saw them tear the card apart to get to the candy. As I don't eat chocolate I used skittles for the candy. I think most enjoyed these treats.

Supplies Used:
(All Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Sets: Sweet Treats, Christmas Blessing
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green
Cardstock: Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Sweet Treat Cups, Glue Dots, 1 3/4 Circle Punch

Still Christmas ?

I never did finish showing you all the Christmas cards I made for this past Christmas, so I am going to show you these cards over the next few days. This is the same layout I used for one of the cards at the Christmas Stamp-A-Stack. I changed up the colours and added a little bit more technique. I used the colour spritzer with the Chocolate Chip marker to create the speckled background. I really like the way this card turned out.

Hubby's Valentine's Card

My husband and I don't really go all out for Valentine's Day. This year we spend the day at the in-law's celebrating my father-in-law's birthday. Once we got home the rest of the day was spent doing laundry and grocery shopping. However we did exchange cards and my husband bought me some roses. This is the card that I gave to Andrew. This is a remake of a card I showed you earlier. This time I used Chocolate Chip Prints Designer Paper for the base, changed the colours of the hearts, and added a button. The saying is a rub-on from Chit Chat.

Supplies Used:
(All Stampin' Up!)
Stamp Sets: I {Heart} Hearts
Ink: Rose Red, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Ballet Blue
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Whisper White, Rose Red

Productive Weekend

I had a very productive weekend stamping. I can't show you a lot of what I created this weekend because it is for upcoming classes and events but I promise you will see them over the next little while. However I do have cards to share with you in the meantime. This is a card that I made for a friend's birthday back in December. I cased the layout of this card from Petal Pusher over at SCS. I changed up the colours and stamp set used. To create the circles I used the Circle Scissor Plus, the sayings are actually three separate stamps from the set 'A Little Birthday Cheer'.

Stamp Sets: A Little Birthday Cheer
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Rose Red, Close to Cocoa
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Thoroughly Modern DSP

Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my Father-in-Law's birthday. This is the card I decided to make him. I am loving the easel cards, they are actually really easy to make and so impressive looking. My father-in-law loves to bake and makes really good apple pie and apple crisp so I thought this apple image from the For Father set was the perfect one to use for his card. I actually used some of my retired items for this card, both the stamp set and the Designer Paper is retired. Hope you like the card.

Happy Birthday Christine

Today is my BFF's birthday. This is the card I made for her. She really like's Stampin' Up!'s Rich Razzleberry colour, so I knew I wanted to use that ribbon. The ribbon was my starting point for this card. I have seen lots of card recently where there a scallop edge has been placed along the side of the main image and really like this look, I think it just makes the image pop of the card more. You can't tell in the picture but I used Crystal Effects on the tops of the cupcakes to make it look more like icing. All supplies are Stampin' Up! except for the textured background, this was created using a Cuttlebug folder, sorry I don't know the name of it).

Happy Birthday Christine! Hope you are having an awesome day! Wish I could be with you right now.

Valentine's Treat Box

This is another one of the projects we did at my Valentine's Class earlier this week. This is a little treat box that would be great to put some candies in and give to someone. I am thinking I might fill this box with some little treats and put in my husband's lunch bag for work. This box was very simple to make. The cardstock was 6 1/2 x 8 3/8 and then I scored 2" for the bottom and at 2", 4", 6", 8" for the sides of the box. Then just cut some slits in the bottom to create the flaps and folded the box together. To close the top of the box I just pinched in the side and placed a clip on the top to hold it closed. I tied some ribbon onto the clip, just to add a little extra. I am really happy with the way it turned out.

Stamp Sets: I {Heart} Hearts, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Whisper White
