Pocket Notes

I am in love with the pocket notes from Stampin' Up!'s Winter Mini. I had no plans when I first saw them to buy them, but then I thought, these might be a good thing to use as a project at a workshop, so I ordered a package. Now I am addicted and might just have to get some more soon. Here is a picture of the ones I made today. I got the Wild About You set for my birthday (thanks Christine!) and i haven't really used it much, so I thought I would put it to use. Here's what I came up with:

Post-It Note Holders

Today I planned to work on door prizes for my upcoming workshop, but I got distracted of course. I decided to make some acrylic post-it note holders that I saw on Splitcoaststampers.com. These were so much fun to make and really simple. I used 3.5"x5" frames for these, but only because that what's my dollar store had, I am going to keep an eye out for 4"x6" frames because I think the bigger frames might look better, but I am really happy with the ones I did. I used Heartfelt Thanks and Happy Harmony of course, because they are my newest sets. I also used All the Best for one with my favourite colour combo Mellow Moss and Pretty In Pink. You can't tell in the picture but I used Dazzling Diamonds on the All The Best flower. If I get a chance this week I am going to try to get some RSVP Pens so that I can make some pens to match each frame. And I can use these as door prizes, so really I did get some door prizes done today.

Getting Projects Ready

I have a Mystery Hostess Workshop scheduled for next weekend so I have been busy planning the projects for this workshop. I got them done tonight. I just got the Heartfelt Thanks and Happy Harmony sets, so I had to use these sets. I also went with all the projects from one colour family so that they can see how much you can do with one family. And of course that colour family was Soft Subtles, because that is my favourite. I even used Sahara Sand ink on one of the projects (are you impressed Christine?). I never use Sahara Sand because I just can never get it to look right. I decided to do a 6x6 scrapbook page, a pocket note and two regular cards. I wanted to a variety of projects to suit everyone. I hope they like them. Here a picture of the projects.

Now that I have decided what projects we are going to do, I have to get the stuff pre-cut and work on getting to door prizes ready. Back to work....

Gilmore Girls

I am currently scrapbooking the pictures from our trip to California last February (I know I am a little behind, but I am almost done now). On our trip we took a tour of the WB Studios, and we were able to see a number of the sets for many different shows, but the highlight for me was the Gilmore Girls sets. Gilmore Girls is one of my favourite TV show, I have seen every episode and cannot miss it on Tuesday nights. I was really hoping to meet some of the actors, but I didn't see any, and we didn't get to see any of the indoor sets, but we did get to see the outdoor sets. Which was great! I was so excited to see anything from this show. So here are the pages I scrapbooked with the pictures I took. I did add some pictures that I got off the internet of the actors.

Welcome

Welcome to my space in cyberspace. Here I will share projects that I have created. Most entries will probably be stamping/scrapbooking related. Hope you enjoy.
