Mother's Day

This is the card I made for my mom and mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I got the idea from Linda at stampingschool.com. I used the Friendship Blooms set from SAB, stamped in white craft and then embossed with white embossing powder. I then cut out all the flowers and popped them up with dimensionals. I put some of the rhinestone brads in the centre of flowers. I used the 1 3/8 square punch to punch out the window. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to determine the size of the window for the mother's day saying. I really like the look of the peek through cards. I have been doing quite a few of them lately. You just might see more of these types of cards in the next little while.

5 Years

On May 10th my husband and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. My husband bought us tickets to go see the Music Man at the festival theater in town. It was so good. I love the music man, I have watched the movie so many times and know basically all the songs. Andrew had never seen this musical before, and is not really one for musicals, but he knew I really wanted to go see this one. I was so excited that he got us tickets. I loved it, and afterwards Andrew said he really liked it as well. Anyways, here is the card that I gave to Andrew:

(All Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Summer By The Sea, Hugs & Wishes
Ink: StazOn Timber Brown

Friends Forever

I had so much fun making my husband's anniversary card that I decided to make another copy for my best friend. I hope this card will cheer her up a little. I just changed the colors again and the image. I knew right away what stamp I wanted to use, we both love the elephant from Wild About You, so I knew I had to use that image. Here it is:

Happy Anniversary

This coming Saturday is my 5th year anniversary. I am really looking forward to it. My husband, Andrew, got us tickets to go see the Music Man at the Stratford Festival. I am so excited. The Music Man is one of my favorite musicals. I am a member of stampinschool.com and have gotten so many ideas off of the site. Linda is so talented. I cased this card from there, I just changed the images and the colours. I am going to give this card to Andrew for our anniversary. Andrew loves fish, he has a 38 gallon aquarium and is always going to pet stores to look at their fish. He is always bugged by everyone that he is fish obsessed. I bought the stamp set Fishy Friends quite a while just because of him, and have used it on so many of his cards, but he never seems to get tired of it, so of course I went to it again. This is the card I made:

Bridal Shower

This past Saturday I went to a bridal shower for Liz, my brother's fiancé. They are getting married in 33 days. I can't believe my little brother will soon be married, he has found a great girl and we are very excited to have Liz become part of our family. Anyways, this is the card that I made to go with the gift. I wasn't really sure what the right sentiment would be for a bridal shower card, so I decided to go without one and just wrote a personal message on the inside. I took a card that I had done a little while ago that I really liked and just changed the image. I really like how it turned out. The first card is the card I gave to Liz and the second card is the one I had made before that I just changed a little.
