It is finally finished!!

After one year and 4 months, I have finally finished the scrapbook of our trip to California in Feb. 2006. This is the last page of the album. I was stuck for ideas on this page because I had no photo to go on it, but I found these really cute 3-D stickers at Michaels a few weeks ago and thought they would be great to add some fun elements to the page. Now that I can put this album in the finished projects pile, I can start catching up on scrapbooking the events that have happened over the past year.

Gift Card Holder

The new Stampin' Up! Catalogue should arrive any day now, and I am promised a gift certificate towards merchandise in the new catalogue to all my customers that pre-ordered a copy of the catalogue. I wanted to make the gift certificate kind of fun, so with the help of a friend (thanks Christine), we decided to turn the gift certificate into a gift card look. I made this holder for the 'gift card'. The 'gift card' opens up and looks just like a gift certificate with all the required information on it.

Father's Day

Father's Day is tomorrow and I have been procrastinating on making some cards. I just had no ideas. I find masculine cards the hardest to make. Over the past couple of days I have been surfing the gallery on splitcoaststampers.com to get some inspiration. Today I finally was able to get some ideas for the two father's day cards I needed to make.

My dad is into fish and has an aquarium so I thought I would use the fish from 'All Wrapped Up'. I had the designer paper sampler pad that I just received sitting on my table so I started to flip through it and I was inspired. This is the result:

Supplies Used:
(All Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: All Wrapped Up, All Year Cheer II
Ink: Basic Black, Always Artichoke
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Always Artichoke, Whisper White, Certainly Celery Designer Paper
Accessories: Ribbon, Dimensionals

When my Father-in-Law was younger he used to have a old convertible. My husband said that one of the cars from the 'Classic Convertibles' set looked just like it, so I decided to use that car stamp for his card and I made the car the same colour as the car he used to have. I tried to make the background of the card match the wrapping paper on his gift. It was black and white with the word dad written all over it. This card is not my favourite colour combination, but my husband likes it, so hopefully his dad does too.

Supplies:
(All Stampin' Up!)
Stamps: Classic Convertibles, Brushstroke Alphabet
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Craft White
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White

Nephew's Birthday Cards

Over the past couple of days I have been working on birthday cards for three of our nephews. Two of the boys birthday's are on June 16th and the third is on July 3rd. I decided since I was working on two boys cards, I might as well do the third one at the same. I ordered the set 'All Wrapped Up' quite a while ago with the thought that I would use it for the boys birthday's. This was the first time I used it. I really like this set and now that I have started using it, I am sad that it is retiring.
