First Use of Eat Cake!

I needed to make a birthday card for a friend's birthday coming up soon, and just last week I got the stamp set, Eat Cake. It normally takes me a while to get around to mounting and using a new stamp set, but I decided this time that I had to use it right away. It worked great, cause I needed a birthday card and it is an ideal set for that. This card is for a guy, so I had to make sure I picked masculine colours. Soft Subtles is my favourite colour family and so of course I used one colour from that family - sage shadow. I hope Trev likes this card. I am so proud of myself for using a new stamp set right away.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is approaching very quickly and I had yet to do some cards for it. Today I finally sat down and made myself make some cards for my mom and mother-in-law. Here they are:

I get most of my inspiration for cards from the gallery on splitcoaststampers.com and this is where the ideas for these cards came from. It has been brought to my attention that the green card is a case from a card in R_liston's gallery. I am sorry I did not give her previous credit when I first posted this card. It was a complete oversight, I did not realize that I had cased the card. I am really sorry for not realizing this before and giving proper credit to r_liston.

Our Anniversary

Today is my wedding anniversary. I have not done any scrapping or card making since we put our house up for sale but I really needed a card to give to Andrew for our anniversary. And I would be in his bad books if I went and bought one instead of using my stamping stuff to make him one. So I sat down today and made this card for him. He really likes penguins so I think he will like it.
