New Catalogue

The new catalogue is here!!! This edition is once again filled with lots of new stamp sets, punches, papers, ribbons and accessories. One of the first things I noticed as I was going through this catalogue was that 99% of the prices are lower than in the last catalogue. And even more exciting is that the prices listed are inaccurate. Let me explain – When Stampin’ Up! decided on the prices in this catalogue it was back in August and was based upon the strength of our dollar then. But due to the fact that our Canadian dollar has strengthened so much more Stampin’ Up! has implemented a 7% price reduction from the prices listed in the catalogue. December is Over!

December has been a crazy month for me, I am so happy that is it over and hopefully life will settle down a little. As a Christmas present to my in-laws I made up scrapbooks for each family within the family. There was one page dedicated to each couple and a page dedicated to each kid. I had previously asked the family members some questions about their likes and dislikes, and put the questions and asnwers together for this album. The first page in the album had the title "Getting to know the Smith Family." I did four albums with 11 pages in each. It took me alot longer than I thought it would, but it was so worth it. The family members loved it when they opened them on Christmas. I told them that I would update the album every few years as we all grow older and our thoughts and opinions change. This is a sample of one of the pages that I did, it is me and my husband Andrew.

Christmas Cards

I am excited to say that I have finally finished all my Christmas cards and they will be going out the mail tomorrow. Here's a group picture of the cards I did:


I had a bunch of leftover Bravo Burgundy cardstock from the Christmas Card Workshops I did in November, so I decided to use it to make these. This is the first time I have made a square card. I really like how it turned out.

This card was inspired by a card I saw on SCS by Kallen. I just changed the colours and flipped the side that Frosty was on.

Christmas Card Workshop

Yesterday I held my second annual Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack. It was a ton of fun, as I was unpacking my supplies and setting up I realized that I did not take enough envelopes for everyone and I had promised them that envelopes would be provided. So I had to make a quick phone call to my husband to bring me some. Thank goodness for cell phones. With that little issue was solved, everything else went smooth. These are the cards that we made:

Moved and Getting Settled.

I realize it has been a long time since I have posted, things have been crazy around here. On Oct. 19th we moved into our new house. Since then we have been trying to get unpacked and settled. We have been having issues with getting the phone and internet connected. After three weeks of frustration we finally got our internet connected yesterday. We are still waiting for a working phone, but we were told yesterday that it should be working today. We will see if that happens. Most of the house is pretty much organized and set up the way we want things, there are only a few more boxes left to unpack. However I do still have my stamp room to get organized, I am just trying to figure out where to put all my stuff. I am going to start work on organizing it this afternoon.
