I hope to be able to post quite a bit over the next couple of weeks, I am on holidays and we are staying around the house. My plan is to spend alot of time in my stamp room, stamping and hopefully getting some scrapbooking done too. My husband is suppose to be working on drywalling our basement with a couple of friends, however if the drywalling goes anything like the building the shed earlier this week went, I think I might have to take his spot in the drywalling process. Tuesday evening we starting building the shed and in the process Andrew cut his finger pretty bad, I had to take him to the hospital, got it bandaged, he just has to be careful for a while. So Wednesday morning I called a friend to help me finish the shed. Just as we were finishing up we asked Andrew to just hold something for us and he ends up getting poked a little bit with the drill, nothing serious. But he sure has been accident prone this week. Hopefully we can get through the next couple of weeks without having to go back to the hospital.

Personal Note

Let me say how sorry I am that I have not updated my blog in a while. Life has been a little crazy around here. My dad was diagnosed with cancer in January and was going through a bunch of chemo treatments. My parents only live an hour and a half from us, so we would try to go and visit my dad at least one weekend a month, sometimes more. My mom called me Aug. 26th to say dad was in the hospital and was going downhill very quickly, the doctor's wanted her to call the family in. I took the rest of the week off work and went to go see him. The first day we went up I was able to give him a scrapbook I had made for him and was able to really talk with him. The next few days we could see him going downhill. On August 30th, my dad passed away and went to be with the Lord. August 30th was my parent's 37th wedding anniversary, earlier in the month my dad gave me some money to pick up an anniversary gift for mom and to do a card for her. That morning my brother and I were debating on whether or not to give mom our anniversary gifts because of the situation, we knew that most likely he would pass away that day. However after asking mom how she felt about it, we decided to go ahead and celebrate it. So we gave her the gifts. I am so sure dad hang on until mom had opened her gift from him, he passed away very shortly after that. Dad was a minister and he was a minister until the end. His last words were a prayer that a pastor does at the interment ceremony at the cemetery. I miss him very much, but know that he is no longer in any pain. After the funeral I went back to work for a week and then I had the next week off as holidays. After spending a few days with mom, we went up north for a few days to visit some other friends. It was so nice to get away and relax for a while. I go back to work tomorrow and try to get back into the normal routine. Thank you so much for sticking with my blog and I promise to try to keep my blog more updated. I do have lots of cards to share that I have not shown you yet, so that is my goal for the next few weeks or so.

I got it and I love it!
I was able to get the Cuttlebug last Saturday at Wal-mart in Kitchener, I also picked up a few embossing plates. I did not get any cutting dies yet for two reasons, 1. There was not really any shapes I wanted there and 2. I really only want the Alphabet dies anyways, but my husband says I have to wait for my birthday to get some of those. Can November come fast? So here is a picture of my new tool:

I am loving it so far. I have found it really easy to use. And the embossing on the cardstock is so vivid. I love it. I can't wait to start using this in my scrapbooks. Here are a few cards I made last weekend. I had to try out my new machine. :)
